Solar keratoses
The Correct Answer is C
The incidence of solar keratoses is increasing especially in fair skinned, fair hared people. About 10 - 25% of keratoses will develop into squamous cell carcinomas but is usually a local tumor and they rarely metastasize. Basal cell carcinoma do metastasize but rarely (1:1,000) and usually only to local lymph glands. Chronic sun exposure leads to loss of skin elasticity, an increase in telangiectasia and prominent sebaceous glands. Sunburn typically takes 4 - 8 hours to develop after exposure .
