- Obstruction of the duodenum May result from congenital peritoneal bands (Ladds bands) which run over the duodenum from the caecum in the right upper quadrant
- The x-ray features include the dilatation of stomach and possibly the duodenum (double bubble sign not usually seen) there is a paucity of gas in the rest of the bowel
Duodenal Atresia - failed duod. canalization -> polyhydramnios, vomit bile, stomach distention
(“double bubble” on xray cuz of gas in stomach)
