The Correct Answer is C

Cholinesterase inhibitors, typically referred to as anticholinesterases, are a diverse family of clinically important compounds. In addition, many of the anticholinesterases are widely used as agricultural pesticides, and still others are extremely toxic chemical warfare agents.

‘Irreversible’ cholinesterase inhibitors are termed organophosphates and form highly stable (covalent) phospho-intermediates. The organophosphates bind to and undergo initial hydrolysis by AChE, but the acyl intermediate is replaced by a phosphoryl moiety which is cleaved extremely slowly (requiring up to hundreds of hours) and is, hence, effectively ‘irreversible’.
