Contraindications:

Absolute:
  1. Blood diseases as haemophilia, purpura, leukaemia and agranulocytosis.
  2. When enlargement is a part of a systemic disease as lymphoma and leukaemia.
  3. General contraindications to operation.
    Relative:
    1. During acute attacks à wait for 2 weeks.
    2. During quinsy à wait for 4 weeks.
    3. During upper respiratory tract infections à wait for 2 weeks.
    4. During active rheumatic fever.
    5. During epidemics of poliomylitis.
    6. During an active general disease (T.B., hypertension).
    7. During menses.
    8. Cleft palate.
    9. Age: less than 3 years.
